Split Hip Reel : Watermill
Summary
It's called either Split Hip Reel or the Water Mill when the poi spins once at a turn around the hips.
This movement can be donce by doing Carry Turn and HIp Reel Turn and combining and doing them in turns.
How to
- Turn from forward spin to backward spin by doin Hip Reel Turn.
- Back to the original position by Carry Turn.
- The poi orbit stays the same and only the body moves about 90 to the sides.
- Spin as close as possible to the hips. The left poi spins in front and behind your left hip. The right poi spins in front and behind your hips.
- Spin less and less between the turns as you feel more comfortable with the movement.
- You've completed the movement when you only spin once in front and behind and link them.
- It looks as the watermill so this movements is called Watermill.
Tips
When poi comes in front, you can spin poi in extended circle. It is called giant water mill.
